The Bend Bikeout

October 7, 2017

The 5th annual Oregon Cancer Bike Out is a full day of Mountain Biking fun!  Race your bike down the thrilling trails at Wanoga Sno-Park, on of Central Oregon's best trail systems outside of Bend.  Trails for this year's event include Funner, Tiddlywinks, Tyler's Traerse, and Lower Storm King.

These single-track trails are “mostly” downhill. Each ride offers more than 1,400 vertical feet of descent. The recommended rider ability is intermediate, but for those who want to undergo more of a "hair raising experience" there are a number of advanced options available. Funner and Tiddlywinks have become the trails of choice for Bend's most popular events.

Shuttle and optional guided services will be provided to assure this event can offer you the best gravity assisted experience ever.

10:00 am - Riding begins.

There will be small groups with coaches available to ride with. You will be asked about grouping at registration check in.

When Registering ...

When registering, we ask you pick your first ride:

Tiddlywinks to Tylers Traverse. This is the longer ride with more pedaling. Most of the pedaling will be connecting Tiddlywinks to Tylers on Kiwa Butte Trail. The lower half of this initial ride is mostly downhill flow style trail on Tylers Traverse. Intermediate mountain biking skill level required.

Funner Trail to Lower Storm King. The shorter but mostly downhill gravity ride. There are some short uphill climbs on Lower Storm King. Funner trail is popular for many advance optional features. Intermediate mountain biking skill level required.

Anna's Epic Ride. This is an all-out day of equal ascent and decent single track trails. Meet Anna Vacca who recently recovered from cancer and is ready to celebrate with an epic cross country ride. This ride is for those of you wish not to shuttle any trails. Trail route will be announced on our Facebook page.
